Torus Mara provided REST based APIs designed according to the JSON:API specification format.

You are granted access to Torus APIs when you create an account and request API configuration. We recommend that you integrate in our staging environment before registering for production access.

This documentation guides you on how to utilise the Torus Mara APIs in creating services catered towards your customers' needs as well as the expected authentication and request structure for each endpoint.

Steps on how to get setup on the sandbox environment in order to be able to test the Torus APIs.

Getting started on the Sandbox environment
Step 1 : Create an account on Torus Maras' sandbox dashboard which can be accessed here. Verification links are not sent to Emails on sign-up for sandbox environment hence you would need to **request for email verification**manually.
Step 2: Join our Developers Hub on Slack and send a Business activation request to the API-REQUEST channel specifying the Business name, Email and mobile number utilized in creating the account or initiate an API configuration request via the support email.
Step 3: Log in to your account and complete the authentication and KYC process. Default 2FA for Dev environment is 000000 (i.e 0 in 6 places).
Step 4: Upon successful KYC registration, your Torus dashboard is launched. Visit the Developer tools section of the Settings module to generate your API Keys (Public keys and Bearer token) and profile a web-hook URL if desired.
